Privacy Policy

Enso Labs LLC · Kanso · Effective date: April 27, 2026

Enso Labs LLC ("Enso," "we," "us") operates the Kanso application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the App or related services.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: such as email address and authentication identifiers managed through our auth provider (Supabase Auth).
  • Profile and wellness data: information you choose to enter in the App (for example, profile details, nutrition-related logs, goals, and related preferences).
  • Technical data: standard device and usage information needed to run the App (for example, app version). If configured for your build, we may use error and performance diagnostics (for example, Sentry) to help identify crashes; those tools receive technical event data as described in their documentation.

1a. Camera and barcode scanning

If you use optional features that use the camera, the App accesses the camera only to support those features—for example, scanning a product barcode. Video frames used for barcode scanning are not stored as photos in your journal. Derived product or nutrition text may be processed on your device and/or sent to our servers and to Google Gemini (or other AI services we configure) solely to provide in-app meal descriptions or nutrition estimates. We do not use the camera for unrelated advertising or to sell camera footage. You can decline camera access in your device settings; barcode scanning may not work without it.

1b. Microphone and voice input

If you use optional voice input to dictate meal descriptions, the App requests microphone access where the operating system or browser requires it. Audio may be processed locally by your device (for example, via the platform speech recognition APIs) and the resulting text may be sent to our services and to Google Gemini (or other AI services we configure) for nutrition-related outputs as described above. You can stop using voice features or revoke microphone permission in your device settings.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features;
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • Analyze meal descriptions and related inputs to estimate nutrition information, including through automated processing and third-party AI services (see below);
  • Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.

3. Storage and service providers

We store and process much of your App data using Supabase (database, authentication, and related infrastructure). Data may be processed on servers located in regions Supabase uses for your project configuration.

For certain features, text you submit (such as meal descriptions) may be sent to Google Gemini(or other AI services we configure) solely to generate nutrition estimates and related in-app outputs. We do not use that content for unrelated advertising profiling in this Policy's ordinary meaning; see Google's terms and policies for how their services handle requests sent to them.

4. Retention and deletion

We retain information as long as needed to operate the App and as required by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data through the in-app account deletion flow where available, subject to limited legal or security exceptions.

Account and data deletion

Kanso is provided by Enso Labs LLC(see this page header). The steps below match what we show in the app for account removal.

How to delete your account and associated data:

  1. Sign in to the Kanso app (or the web app at the same product).
  2. Open Profile(bottom tab on mobile; the screen title is "Profile" and the address path is /goals on web).
  3. Scroll to the Delete account section, read the notice, and confirm to permanently delete your profile, meal logs, related in-app data, and your sign-in credentials. This action cannot be undone in the app.

What is removed: we delete the personal data associated with that account in line with the deletion flow (including journal-style logs and related records tied to the account), subject to the limited exceptions below.

What may be kept temporarily: a short retention period may apply for backups, fraud prevention, or where the law requires us to keep certain records. We do not use deleted account content to rebuild your profile.

If you cannot access the app: contact us at support@ensolabs.cc from the email address on your account, describe the request, and we will assist subject to identity verification and applicable law.

5. Your choices

You can review and update certain information in the App. You may withdraw consent for optional features where applicable, or contact us using the email below for privacy-related requests.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

7. International users

If you access the App from outside the country where our infrastructure is hosted, your information may be transferred and processed across borders. We take steps designed to protect information consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate (for example, through the App or by email).

9. Contact

For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact us at support@ensolabs.cc.

This policy is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice. For medical decisions, consult a qualified professional; Kanso is not a substitute for medical care.
